Service Description
This course is a practical introduction to project management – from the initial idea to its successful completion. Participants will understand what a project is, as well as the main ways to obtain a project – through an internal request, a client assignment or a competitive procedure. The training will cover the phases of the project life cycle – initiation, planning, execution and closure – with a focus on the role and responsibilities of the manager in each of them. The course provides practical guidance on how to prepare a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and how to effectively organize and track the hours and resources spent. Special attention is paid to financial planning: how to request and justify a budget, how to forecast costs and manage deviations from it. Participants will also learn how to prepare the key elements of the contractual terms, including responsibilities, deadlines and acceptance criteria, as well as how to clearly define the scope of work to avoid misunderstandings. In the final part, the course examines how and when the project ends – with formal acceptance, reporting of results, analysis of lessons learned and smooth handover to maintenance or its next phase. The course materials are in English. The language of instruction can be both Bulgarian and English. Time and place of delivery: 23.11.2026 online from 18:00-20:00 Lecturer: Yana Semova
